Plachen im Falstaff 2014

After their fulminant start our single vineyard wines Oberer Wald and Plachen last year, we are more than pleased to announce that our expectations have been exceeded: Plachen is number 1 in the category Blaufränkisch in the latest issue of the Falstaff Wine Guide 2014.

The Blaufränkisch powerhouse received 96 points, reaching the highest ranking for this vintage.

Plachen im Falstaff 2014

We’re looking forward to the Falstaff Reserve Trophy in autumn. Plachen’s “big brother” Oberer Wald is going to give him a run for his money and hopefully make even more waves on the red wine scene.

On the noble sweet wine front we also have some exciting news: Ruster Ausbruch 2012 has been awarded 95 points making it the third highest sweet wine ranking among 490 wineries. After the sensational 97 points for Ausbruch 2011 this has been – once again – a spectacular performance. The next trick up our sleeve: Ruster Ausbruch Welschriesling 2013 also tastes very promising.

With these scores (95-99 points), we are proud to be rubbing elbows with the world’s best, and feel even more confident in our origin-conscious approach.

If you’d like to bask in the glow with us, then use this chance to secure a pair of Plachen (or Oberer Wald) bottles. Stocks are limited, naturally.
