Farmer’s Salad

- 100 g potatoes
- 1 green salad
- 1 package of corn salad
- 4 slices bacon
- 1 small onion
- some butter to panfry
- 1 tomato
- 1 green pepper
- chive

- Marinade
- 1/8 excellent wine vinegar
- salt
- pepper
- 4 TBL olive oil
- some sugar
- 1 clove of garlic
- Wash salad and drain thoroughly (a salad spinner works even better).
- Boil potatoes and cut into pieces when still warm. Remove pips from tomatoes and green pepper and dice. Combine into a bowl. For the marinade mix wine vinegar, salt, pepper, some sugar, oil and garlic thoroughly. Chop onions and bacon and brown with melted butter in a hot pan.
- Pour in marinade. Bring to boil for a short time and pour over the salad. Spread with chopped chives and serve immediately along with crisp farmer’s bread.
Goes well with Furmint, TRIE or the classic Blaufränkisch!
