Medium gold with juvenile reflections. Intensive fruity nose of apricots, candied fruits, sugar melon, vineyard peach and Mirabelle plum. Fine, almost fresh notes of honey, seductive fragrance. Suited also for newcomers in the noble sweet sector. Multi-layered, sweet with juicy acidity and really elegant creamy fruitiness. Stewed apricots, well integrated residual sugar in the upper range, very juicy – a “Beerenauslese” with mighty understatement. Who doesn’t give in … has to turn to the Ruster Ausbruch right away!
Roasted goose liver with Muscat raisins, quark pancake with stewed plums, peach ice cream with pieces of fruit, desserts accompanied by regional fruits such as strawberries and Mirabelle plums, rice pudding with raspberry sirup, filo pastry-goose cheese-tarts with molten apricots.
Hand-picked into small boxes end of November 2008; sound grapes have been left on the vine to get the chance to produce ice wine – we are still waiting.
Crushing, maceration for approximately 3 hours in the tank press, gentle pressing for several hours, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, termination of fermentation by racking off & chilling. Maturation in stainless steel tanks.
